Judges for the 2020 Gold Nugget Awards have named De Young Properties an Award of Merit winner in its annual competition, which honors architectural design and planning excellence and draws entries from throughout the United States and internationally. De Young Properties earned its Merit honors for De Young Residence 230 at The Highlands, which was honored for Best Single Family Detached Home – 1,800 to 2,499 square feet category.

“De Young Properties is honored to have been selected as a Gold Nugget Merit Award Winner for one of our newest floorplans, the Residence 230 at The Highlands,” said Ryan De Young, President of De Young Properties. “With a fresh architectural approach, we knew this versatile floorplan would be a favorite among our customers but we are thrilled to know that the Gold Nugget Award Judging Committee feels the same way.”

The Residence 230 at The Highlands features four bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen open to the great room, three-and-a-half baths and a three-car tandem garage. Now in its 57th year, GNA is the largest and most prestigious competition of its kind in the nation. It honors design and planning achievements in community and home design, green-built housing, site planning, commercial, retail, mixed-use development and specialty housing categories. Winners this year were chosen from 575 entries from around the world.

The De Young Residence 230 floorplan was also featured on HGTV’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in March when De Young partnered with the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team to build a new home for local firefighter and hero in our community, Nick Reeder, in just six days.
