 
        
     Brandon De Young has been selected as one of Professional Builder Magazine’s 40 Under 40 winners for 2016. This award recognizes 40 building professionals, throughout the country, that are the next generation of leaders in the home building industry – and are all under the age of 40! According to Professional Builder Magazine, “these young leaders played key roles in growing their companies by replacing a legacy system, expanding into new markets, and mastering many other tasks.”

Then building upon his work with De Young’s EnergySmart features, Brandon developed and implemented De Young’s Zero Net Electric option in 2010, designed to reduce annual electricity usage to zero. Taking this one step further, in 2013, Brandon forged a partnership with Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) and De Young Properties to build a Zero Net Energy (ZNE) home, designed to produce as much energy as it consumes each year. This was, and still is, the only “ZNE” home in the Central San Joaquin Valley of California.
