De Young Properties Once Again Honored with Best of Central Valley Business 2019 Award Recognition

Last week, invited representatives of the Central Valley’s leading businesses and organizations gathered to hear the winners of the Best of Central Valley Business awards. For the sixth year in a row, De Young Properties is honored to have been named as a Top 3 Finalist in not ONE, but TWO of these categories. First, as one of the Central Valley’s Best Home Builders and second, as one of the Best Central Valley Companies Supporting Local Charities! De Young Properties would like to thank the community for their votes in this great honor and for their continued support of the De Young Properties legacy.

For the last six years, the Best of Central Valley Business Awards invites online readers of The Business Journal to vote for their favorite Central Valley businesses in 35 different categories. Nearly 160,000 individual votes were cast during the two-month voting period.

The family tradition extends beyond building homes. Our team contributes time and resources to better the local Central Valley community as much as possible. Since 2007, De Young Properties has been a major donor and builder of 13 St. Jude Dream Homes, helping to raise $12,577,645 to help the kids of St. Jude fight cancer and other life-threatening childhood diseases. One hundred percent of the proceeds are donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which works around the clock to develop cures to save the lives of boys and girls, including children in the San Joaquin Valley.

In 2019, De Young Properties partnered with HGTV’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team to build a home in Clovis for a local Cal Fire Captain and hero Nick Reeder. More than 2,000 local volunteers and hundreds of trade partners joined De Young Properties in this life changing mission, which resulted in a six-day build of a brand new Reeder family home. It is the hope of De Young Properties to use this community-unifying experience to challenge us all to continue the spirit of volunteering and supporting non-profits, as well as treating everyone as our neighbor. This project showed the extreme and life changing impact that results when we all work together.
