Judges for the 2015 Gold Nugget Awards (GNA) have named De Young Properties as a Grand Award winner in its annual competition, which honors architectural design and planning excellence, and draws entries from throughout the United States as well as internationally.

Gold Nugget Awards recognize those who improve our communities through exceptional concepts in design, planning and development. De Young Properties earned the Grand Award, the top honor, for Building Community Spirit Award, for the 2014 Central Valley St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway^®. Grand Awards were announced on June 25 as a feature highlight of Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC), the nation’s largest regional conference and trade show for the real estate development field.

Located in Clovis, CA, the 2014 St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway rallied the community to purchase 10,751 tickets, successfully raising $1,075,100, the most money raised to date since 2007, when De Young started participating in the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. Each year, 100% of proceeds are donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which works around-the-clock to develop cures to save the lives of boys and girls around the world, including children in the San Joaquin Valley.

We have a three generation history of giving back to our community and we are honored to be recognized at the PCBV for our commitment to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

In the last eight years, together with our community and business partners, we have raised over $7.6 million to date with the hopes of raising an additional $1.1 million in November of this year. Additionally each year, we have the opportunity to change the life of one lucky winner with a new De Young Home.

Now in its 52nd year, GNA is the largest and most prestigious competition of its kind in the nation. It honors design and planning achievements in community and home design, green-built housing, site planning, commercial, retail, mixed-use development and specialty housing categories. Winners this year were chosen from over 600 entries from around the world.

Tickets for De Young Properties ninth Central Valley St. Jude Dream Home will go on sale August 28^th. The approximately  2,900 sq. ft. Multi-Generational home in the De Young Park View community located on Temperance at Sierra in Clovis will be offered as the first place prize to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to fight cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
