Happy 4th of July! Hear Why One Navy Vet Chose De Young Properties

Also known as Independence Day, this national holiday recognizes the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Now, over 240 years later, we continue to recognize this monumental day in the history of our great country, also remembering and honoring all of the sacrifices made along the way to protect the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Our Commitment to Service Members
We are so thankful for our active military and veterans and the sacrifices they make to protect us all, which is why we do all we can to support those who have served our country, including offering service members both past and present $1,500 in Design Studio personal selections through our Heroes Program and VA loans through our affiliate, De Young Mortgage. To try to better understand the experiences of our service member homeowners, we asked Navy veteran Chue Mouanoutoua to tell us a bit about his time in the military and why he chose De Young Properties to build his new home.
Meet Navy Veteran and De Young Homeowner Chue Mouanoutoua
Chue is a proud military veteran, having served in the Navy for four years from 1999-2003. When asked what he is most proud of from his time of service, he responded, “just being able to serve my country.” Chue now serves in a different way – as a teacher, a husband, and a father of six. Chue currently teaches math at Fresno City College, and at the end of each day, he comes home to De Young Trailside, where he recently had a new home built for his family, the Residence 175 with a beautiful Tuscan elevation.
“I would recommend De Young Properties, definitely,” Chue said. “I really like the SmartHome technology and the team was very professional and patient with us.”
Chue noted that he was very pleased with his experience working with both De Young Properties and affiliate De Young Mortgage, who helped him acquire a VA loan.
