2017 Central Valley St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway
De Young Properties Helps to Successfully Raise $961,100 With 11th St. Jude Dream Home!
The 2017 St. Jude Dream Home, built by major donor De Young Properties, was given away to Charlotte Salyer of Tulare who was selected as the lucky winner of the 2,500 square foot home in the De Young Holland Pointe community located in Clovis during the November 5th live television broadcast on FOX 26.
With overwhelming support by the community who dug deep and donated, the 2017 Central Valley St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway successfully raised $961,100 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital! Since 2007, De Young Properties has been a major donor and builder of 11 St. Jude Dream Homes, helping to raise $10,671,445 to help the kids of St. Jude fight cancer and other life-threatening childhood diseases. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which works around the clock to develop cures to save the lives of boys and girls, including children in the San Joaquin Valley.
“This is our fourth year that I have bought tickets and this year I bought 15! It really is a win-win, you have the possibility of winning a house and you are also supporting cancer research for children, so how could you lose? And when I found out that I won, I was doing a little happy dance all around,” stated 2017 St. Jude Dream Home winner, Charlotte Salyer. “This De Young home is gorgeous, it has a well thought-out floorplan, we really like the open kitchen and living room area, the master bedroom is gorgeous too. The whole home is amazing.”
De Young Properties combines their contribution and efforts with the generous help of trade partners such as KraftMaid Cabinetry, Tri-Valley Plastering & Drywall, Inc. and G&G Construction who also donated their time, labor and resources to build this quality crafted home.
“We strongly believe in our responsibility to help others, and our entire De Young team is grateful to our community’s continued support of our business – a community that has given so much to us, which is why we are passionate about giving back. In fact, we are even more passionate today than we were in 2007 when we first partnered with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We are honored to be a donor and builder of our 11th St. Jude Dream Home in this war against childhood cancer. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital positively affects the lives of families across the country, in addition to giving us the opportunity to change the life of a local family,” said Paula De Young of De Young Properties. “This amazing pediatric research center, that not only treats life threatening cases in children, also freely gives guidance to doctors around the world and here in the Central Valley. We count ourselves fortunate to be able to help such an important cause.”
Due to the overwhelming success of last year’s Dream Home, Michael will once again donate his design talent and resources to one very special project, “Michael’s Mystery Suite”, which will remain off-limits during the construction and will be unveiled at a September event. “Michael’s Mystery Suite” will transform the master living quarters into an all-encompassing suite of colors, textures and the unexpected. De Young Properties and Michael Moloney are excited to collaborate on this special project which will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
