De Young Teaches Holy Cross Students the Art of Interior Design

Interior design is a fun, dynamic and challenging art form, and one we pour our hearts into here at De Young Properties in every home we build! Our experienced designers are crucial to our team and their skillsets are vital in our industry and in so many others, so we thought, why not educate the next generation of potential interior designers?

This summer, we partnered with the St. Agnes Holy Cross Center for Women in Fresno to teach a group of young students about the world of interior design! Our Lead Design Specialist visited the center and taught the students all about the principles of design, color, floorplans and potential career paths in interior design. By the end of the class, students were drawing their own floorplan layouts and went home with De Young Properties Junior Interior Designer gift packs, including rulers, graph paper, measuring tape, a color wheel and more.

The Intro to Interior Design class was a hit both with students and teachers, and we had a ton of fun sharing a bit of knowledge with the bright young kids of Holy Cross! Check out a few fun photos from our visit!
