1. De Young Properties thanks community for supporting business for the first 45 years
Established in 1974 and well into our third generation, De Young Properties continues a family legacy of helping families realize the American dream of home ownership. Building over 7,000 homes, the De Young name is synonymous with quality craftsmanship, enduring value, world-class innovation and excellent customer service.
We are sincerely grateful for our loyal homeowners. Our desire has been and always will be to ensure each one of our customers is satisfied with their De Young Properties home. Additionally, we are appreciative to our community and team of top professionals from the last 45 years. Thank you for working alongside our family as we continue the tradition of building quality crafted homes, a job in which we have a passion and do not take lightly.
2. First family moves in at The Highlands by De Young
We kicked-off 2019 by celebrating the first families at The Highlands by De Young. We are so happy to welcome them to this special community. The entire De Young team is grateful to work with each and every customer. What a fun way to start the New Year!
3. In the news – De Young Properties included in CNBC Net Zero Energy home article
In February, De Young Properties was featured in a CNBC article on how net zero energy homes will transform the US real estate market. Our energy expert, Brandon De Young was interviewed and spoke about the more than 140 single-family zero energy homes in three different communities that are planned in De Young Clovis communities. Highlighting De Young’s development and innovation, the article was a huge honor for our team.
4. De Young Properties honored with 2019 People’s Choice Award recognition by the Fresno Bee
De Young Properties was, for the ninth time, recognized as a Fresno Bee People’s Choice Award recipient for New Home Builder and was also named as a top three Best Company to Work For. These honors are given annually to three businesses per category by the Fresno Bee based on votes received from the community. We are beyond grateful to our community for this recognition!
5. Two new De Young floorplans join the family at the Leonard Welcome Center
In March, De Young debuted two new floorplans at the Leonard Welcome Center on Leonard and Dakota, south of Ashlan in Clovis. Model homes for these two homes showcased the oversized master closet, 3-car garage, pantry, kitchen islands, and so much more. Floorplans ranged from 1,900 up to 3,100 square feet and featured on trend, indoor-outdoor living with an open-air courtyard that is like a room but outside and large, paneled windows through the homes.
6. New, exclusive De Young Design Studio Opens at Leonard Welcome Center
The new, exclusive De Young Design Studio located at the Leonard Welcome Center is a fresh, thoughtfully designed modern layout with both indoor and outdoor areas to meet with a De Young Design Specialist. Preview high performing, stylish and versatile features that can be the perfect complement to your new De Young home.
7. De Young Properties sponsors two scholarships for Sanger High School seniors
Our team is proudly rooted in the San Joaquin Valley and we believe it’s our responsibility to support causes that make a difference in the world. In May, De Young Properties sponsored two $1,500 scholarships to two deserving Sanger High School seniors. We can’t wait to see what these students accomplish in their future endeavors.
8. De Young Welcomes first three families at De Young Aspire
In June, the first three families moved in at De Young Aspire. A unique community in central Clovis, it is our hope that these families are enjoying their new De Young home at Aspire.
9. De Young wins coveted Gold Nugget Grand Award honors for Best Innovative Design for De Young EnVision
Judges for the 2019 Gold Nugget Awards named De Young Properties as a Grand Winner in its annual competition, which honors architectural design and planning excellence, and draws nationwide and international entries. De Young Properties earned its Grand honors for De Young EnVision in the Best Innovative Energy Design category. According to Judging Chairman and Gold Nugget ceremonies Lisa Parrish, “Gold Nugget Award winners reflect the industry’s best, brightest and most innovative architects, planners and builder/developers.”
10. Extreme thanks – Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
One week, one goal, one family’s dream came true. HGTV’s Clovis episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Editionjoined forces with De Young Properties to build a new Zero Energy home in The Highlands by De Young community for local fire captain and hero, Nick Reeder. More than 2,000 local volunteers and hundreds of trade partners joined this life changing mission, which resulted in a six-day, around-the-clock build of a brand new De Young home. Businesses and individuals came forward with donations for the family totaling over $20,000, as well as donations for scholarships, memberships and services. It is our hope that this community-unifying experience challenges us all to continue the spirit of volunteering, supporting non-profits, and treating everyone as our neighbor. The Clovis Extreme Makeover: Home Editionwill air on HGTV in Spring 2020. Welcome home, Reeder family!
11. De Young welcomes first families at De Young RidgeView
In August, De Young Properties welcomed their first two families to De Young RidgeView. This community was named Green Home Builder Magazine’s Community of the Year for 2018. De Young RidgeView is a Zero Energy* community, the largest community of its kind in California and one of the first of its kind in the San Joaquin Valley, with homes designed with the potential to produce as much clean energy as they consume in a year*. Not only will these homes save homeowners on energy costs, but they will also benefit their long-term comfort and health.
12. De Young Shaw Welcome Center opens and debuts two new floorplans
In September, De Young invited the public to meet two of the newest De Young floorplans at the new Shaw Welcome Center, located on Shaw and Highland, east of Leonard in Clovis. The public had the opportunity to tour two incredible new models, ranging from 2,100 up to 3,900 square feet that feature indoor-outdoor living with an open-air courtyard and large paneled windows. The floorplans combine groundbreaking SmartHome technology with breathtaking design, showcasing some of the most modern, sophisticated design features and trends of today. In addition, these spacious and flexible floorplans offer a wide variety of selections to flex your floorplan including Multi-Generational designs
13. De Young helps to successfully raise $949,100 with 13th St. Jude Dream Home
This has been on our highlight reel for the last 13 years! Last fall, with overwhelming support of the community who dug deep into their pockets and donated, the 2019 St. Jude Dream Home successfully raised $949,100 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. De Young has been a major donor and builder of 13 St. Jude Dream Homes, helping to raise $12,577,645 to help the kids of St. Jude fight cancer and other life-threatening childhood diseases. The 2019 St. Jude Dream Home was given away to Sharon and Leroy Spears of Fresno who were selected as the lucky winner of the approximately1,900 sq. ft. home in the De Young EnVision community in Clovis.
14. De Young Properties honored with Best of Central Valley Business Award recognition
For the sixth year, the Best of Central Valley Business Awards has invited online readers of The Business Journal to vote for their favorite businesses in 35 categories. De Young Properties is excited to announce that we earned recognition in not ONE, but TWO of those categories. First, as one of the Central Valley’s Best Home Builders and second, as one of the Best Central Valley Companies Supporting Local Charities! For 45 years, we have had a passion for building homes, a desire to ensure each customer is satisfied and true dedication to invest in our community. We are excited to keep this tradition alive!
