When you think back to what you were doing 20 years ago, gas was $1.46 per gallon, iPods were unknown, Netflix was a mail-in movie rental company and Ty Pennington wasn’t a household name. When De Young Properties team member, Brenda Poe, thinks back 20 years, it is the start of a wonderful career with the local, family-owned business. 

Brenda came to De Young in 2001 as an accountant and quickly dove in, improving efficiencies, transitioning to electronic tracking and most importantly, providing a positive attitude, day in and day out. In 2006, Brenda was promoted to Controller, a position that she continues to serve today. 

The De Young Properties team is appreciative of her integrity, dedication and hard work. A few team members recently shared –

Brenda recently announced her retirement which is planned for later this year. She looks forward to traveling, rekindling her love of books and continuing her hobby of knitting and crocheting. Good news is – after she retires, she can finally buy a St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway ticket! 

Happy anniversary, Brenda, and thank you for 20 years of commitment and loyalty. When it is time for your well-deserved retirement, the entire De Young Properties team will miss you greatly.
