2. De
Young Properties holds its first virtual Grand Opening
In March, as
the COVID-19 pandemic prevented most large gatherings and as the world went
virtual practically overnight, De Young Properties quickly pivoted and began to
hold community events virtually. Our sales team was able to bring Grand
Openings to our customers from the comfort of their home. Numerous interested
homebuyers have had the opportunity to hear from President Ryan De Young in a
Facebook Video and then speak “virtually” to New Home Sales Specialists
regarding the opportunity to own a home in one of our communities. Through
virtual efforts such as these, De Young Properties continues to provide the
opportunity for the homebuying journey to continue while prioritizing the
well-being of customers, our team and our community.
3. De
Young Properties recognized by the Fresno Bee and The Business Journal
For the tenth
time, De Young Properties was recognized as the Fresno Bee People’s Choice
Award recipient for New Home Builder and for the second time as the Best
Company to Work For. In addition, De Young Properties was also awarded The
Business Journal’s Best of the Valley for Best Homebuilder and Best Business
Supporting Local Charities for the seventh time. These honors are awarded
annually by the Fresno Bee and The Business Journal based on votes received
from the community. We are grateful for the continued support of our community!
4. De
Young successfully raises $1,000,000 with 14th St. Jude Dream Home
For the last 14 years, the overwhelming support of the community who have continuously donated has made a tremendous impact on the life of many families. The 2020 St. Jude Dream Home successfully reached its goal four days before the Giveaway Show by selling all 10,000 tickets and raising $1,000,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Since 2007, De Young Properties has been a sponsor of 14 St. Jude homes, helping to raise $13,577,645 to help the kids of St. Jude fight cancer and other life-threatening childhood diseases. The 2020 St. Jude Dream Home was given away to Maria Rincon of Henderson, Nevada who was selected as the lucky winner of the approximately 1,740 sq. ft. home in the De Young EnVision community located in Clovis.
5. New
Clovis Community, Legacy Square by De Young Virtually
De Young Legacy
Square, located in East Clovis at Shaw and Locan was launched virtually. The
community's prime location offered spacious homesites and home features with
the beauty of the surrounding area, complete with convenient access to several
shopping and entertainment options. This community was highly desired and sold
out in record time. In fact, one Phase sold 100% of the available homesites
within four hours!
6. Welcome
Home Reeder Family! Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Episode Aired on HGTV
After nine long
months, the wait was finally over! The Reeder Family Episode aired on Sunday,
March 8, during a double episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on HGTV. The
Clovis episode was filmed in summer 2019 at The Highlands by De Young community
for local Cal Fire captain, Nick Reeder. After the loss of his wife, Nick, his
mom and three young daughters were living in a cramped apartment and needed a
fresh start. De Young Properties is proud to have been part of this
life-changing experience building a home for the Reeder family in less than a
week with help from our valued Trade Partners, volunteers, donors and the
Central Valley community!
7. PCBC
Gold Nugget Award of Merit honors – Residence 230
In the summer,
De Young Properties was recognized during the PCBC’s 57th Annual Golden Nugget
Awards for The Highlands-Residence 230, a single-story home featuring 4
bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen, 3.5 bathrooms, a dining nook, and 3 car tandem
garage. PCBC's Gold Nugget Awards recognizes top innovators in design, planning
and development across the United States and internationally. We are so honored
to be recognized for this popular floorplan.
8. De
Young Properties launches their own podcast – Heart & Home
We understand
how stressful, complicated and time-consuming the buying process of your dream
home can be. Our main goal is to help simplify this process and help future
homebuyers every step of the way. In support of this goal, we launched
our very own podcast the Heart & Home Podcast – a new home buyer’s guide to
buying, designing and financing your brand-new dream home, from the family of
thoughtful leaders behind De Young Properties. The podcast will help homebuyers
prepare to embark on the journey of finding their brand-new dream home!
9. New
Modern Spanish elevation released
In July, we debuted
our newest elevation, Modern Spanish. This popular new elevation is a breath of
fresh air and available on all De Young floorplans! Modern Spanish compliments
